About Us

Welcome to ComputerXplorers Bolton & Wigan - where we work with children across Bolton, Wigan, Bury, Warrington, Skelmersdale and St Helens, delivering sessions in schools, libraries, community venues and holiday clubs. Headed by Richard and Emily, who are passionate about helping children discover the creative side of technology. We believe technology should be more than just screen time. It can be a way for children to create, explore, solve problems and develop skills for the future. Through our academies, holiday Tech Clubs, after school clubs, day workshops, home education programmes and community events, we give children the opportunity to explore everything from coding, game design and Minecraft to robotics, animation and creative technology. We are committed to making computing fun, accessible and genuinely educational, with activities that encourage children to build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, work together and discover what they can create with technology. From a first introduction to coding through to more advanced creative computing projects, we're proud to provide a friendly, supportive environment where children can learn new skills and, most importantly, enjoy doing it.
